Srinagar 11 May (CNS): Two militant associates were arrested by security forces and police at the Malik Chak area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
As per the news agency CNS, a police spokesperson said that the duo was arrested after recovery of incriminating materials from their possession.
“Police along with Army (44 RR) & CRPF (14th BN) at a checkpoint established at Malik Chak Crossing, arrested two militant associates, identified as Suhaib Iqbal Malik son of Mohd Iqbal Malik and Tufail Yousuf Malik son of Mohd Yousuf Malik, both residents of Baba Mohalla Shopian. Incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession,” the police spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, a case vide FIR No. 14/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Heerpora and the investigation has been initiated, he added. (CNS)
